Women in Sport Aotearoa (WISPA) is searching for a fixed-term full-time Project Manager starting immediately and ending on 30 June 2022. Key deliverables will include overseeing the staging of the 8th IWG World Conference on Women & Sport in May 2022 and in the run-up, the Sport NZ Women + Girls Summit in September 2021 plus other general events and activities like the Captains Lunch.

The 8th IWG World Conference on Women & Sport is one of the “big four” women’s sport events coming to Aotearoa New Zealand over the next three years, alongside the World Cups in rugby, cricket and football. It is the largest gathering of global experts for gender equality in sport and physical activity and for the first time in it 25-year history, it will be a physical-digital hybrid event.

You will be a Project Manager with 7+ years’ experience. You will demonstrate outstanding levels of attention to detail, a commitment to the highest quality delivery, and a healthy respect for deadlines.

You will be energetic, enthusiastic and an expert in positive stakeholder relations. You will have exceptional strategic planning, approval management and reporting skills (incl budget management), and strong experience in managing event adherence to Health & Safety / Risk & Issues legislation.

You will have an ability to see the ‘big picture’ and know how your events and activities support the wider strategy. Experience in marketing and communications and commercial development would be welcomed. The role will work in a matrix, with access to volunteers, partners and stakeholders.
