- Positive action is required to transform sport and recreation for the betterment of women and girls and to strengthen their place in society
- Participation in sport and recreation grows future leaders and role models and New Zealand will benefit from the development of more female leaders

- Sport and recreation should be fully inclusive of diverse communities
- Māori and Pasifika women and girls need to be supported to a place of equity within sport and recreation
