Insight Bites

Today we talk to Nick Sautner, Chief Executive of Eden Park, Aotearoa New Zealand’s national stadium. Eden Park made history recently, becoming one of the first stadiums in the world to host sport with live audiences in a COVID-19 world. It will also host key matches from the three women’s World Cup events coming to Aotearoa New Zealand in the next three years – the 2021 ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup, the 2021 Rugby World Cup (women) and the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

Nick spoke to us about his COVID-19 journey and his hopes for an exciting and diverse future. In these quick bite-sized conversations, moderated by our Secretary General Rachel Froggatt, we will connect with leaders from all over the sector in Aotearoa New Zealand and globally, to find out what they are seeing, how they are managing and what they are learning during rebuild and recovery from this unprecedented situation.
